Wild Color Blue Immersive Experience

About the Project

Wild Color: “Blue” Immersive Experience

For the Wild Color exhibition, I set out to explore the meditative qualities of the color blue through an immersive projection mapping installation. My goal was to create a dreamy, atmospheric experience that invited viewers to slow down and feel absorbed in the environment.

I curated and edited wildlife footage connected to the color blue, using it as the central visual narrative. These visuals were projection-mapped onto a mural featuring swirling patterns, which added depth and movement as the surface interacted with the video. The projection mapping effects were carefully layered to highlight the mural’s textures, creating an interplay between static and dynamic elements that felt fluid and hypnotic.

Sound played a vital role in shaping the atmosphere. I collaborated with composer Josh Beck, who created an original soundscape using deep oceanic tones. The pairing of moving visuals and immersive sound transformed the space into a meditative, multisensory environment.

The installation offered visitors a tranquil and reflective experience within the exhibition. By blending wildlife imagery, hand-painted art, projection mapping, and sound design, the work embodied the calming essence of blue and invited viewers to engage with color in a more emotional, embodied way.
