Chicago’s Legacy Hula

For the Chicago’s Legacy Hula exhibition, I created an introduction video that captures the essence of traditional hula. The goal was to welcome visitors into the exhibition by highlighting the cultural significance and storytelling power of hula as both dance and heritage.

My role involved filming and editing the piece to establish the tone for the exhibition experience. Through careful framing, pacing, and sound design, the video invites audiences to not only observe but also feel the rhythm and meaning of this living tradition. The final installation served as both a cultural introduction and an emotional entry point, grounding the exhibition in authenticity and respect for the practice.
