ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Chicago Archaeopteryx: Short Documentary
As part of the Field Museum’s launch of its newest fossil, the Chicago Archaeopteryx, I produced, filmed, and edited a short documentary that captured the behind-the-scenes preparation and research process. The museum wanted to showcase not just the fossil itself, but the scientific journey and craftsmanship that brought it to life for the public.
The film served as a centerpiece for the fossil’s unveiling, giving visitors a rare glimpse into the scientific work that usually happens behind closed doors. It enhanced audience appreciation of the fossil’s importance while spotlighting the Field Museum’s role in advancing paleontological research.
