About the Project

Wild Color Traveling Exhibit: “Blue” Immersive Experience

The original Blue immersive experience was designed for a fixed gallery setting, where its scale and atmosphere played a crucial role in creating a sense of wonder. For the Wild Color exhibition, the challenge was to adapt this work into a traveling installation—one that could preserve the same depth and impact while being flexible enough to fit multiple venues.

To achieve this, I collaborated with motion designer Warren Rudd to reimagine the visuals using 3D X-Particles, generating fluid, organic motion that captured the essence of water. These digital forms were carefully synchronized with nature footage, shifting dynamically with color changes to strengthen the connection between natural and digital worlds. At the same time, I partnered with composer Josh Beck to craft an evolving soundscape. Layering oceanic low tones with ambient textures, the audio extended the visual experience, enveloping audiences in a sensory environment that moved seamlessly across spaces.

The final installation became a portable yet powerful experience—a fusion of motion, sound, and color that retained the awe of the original while gaining adaptability. Visitors encountered an immersive world that traveled with them, carrying forward the emotional resonance of Blue into new contexts and venues.
