Wild Color Exhibition — Soundscape Design
Collaboration with Composer Josh Beck
For the Wild Color exhibition, I collaborated with composer Josh Beck to craft a series of immersive soundscapes designed to enhance the visitor experience. The exhibition was divided into six galleries, each dedicated to a single color: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
Our approach was to translate the emotional and sensory qualities of each color into sound. For example, bold rhythmic textures evoked the energy of red, while layered harmonies reflected the calmness of blue. Each gallery offered visitors a distinct auditory atmosphere that complemented its visual identity. The experience culminated in the final gallery, where we blended all six soundscapes into a dynamic composition. This created a vibrant and playful musical palette that mirrored the exhibition’s theme of color interaction and harmony.
This project showcased my ability to collaborate across disciplines, design conceptual sound experiences, and create a cohesive narrative through audio.
